There were 4,083 white students enrolled in Roanoke City Public Schools District in the 2023-24 school year, 3.1% less than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Data showed that Roanoke City Public Schools District welcomed 13,709 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, white students comprised 29.8% of the student body to be the second most represented ethnicity in the school.
