There were 2,729 white students enrolled in Salem City Public Schools District in the 2023-24 school year, 6.7% more than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Data showed that Salem City Public Schools District welcomed 4,318 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, white students comprised 63.2% of the student body to be the most represented ethnicity in the school.
