30 percent of applicants to Jefferson College of Health Sciences were admitted for fall 2018

At Jefferson College of Health Sciences, 60 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 81 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Roanoke enrolled 1,128 students in fall 2018, including 776 in undergraduate and 352 in graduate programs, data shows. 25.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

94 percent of undergraduates are residents of Virginia, and 6 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (79 percent) and Black or African American (9 percent).

The school admitted 30 percent of the 838 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 26 percent enrolled.
