The Town of Buchanan will have a dumpster available this Saturday, April 17th from 8 a.m. through 4 p.m. on the Town Park parking lot on Lowe Street. Town residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity where they can dispose of broken household items such as furniture and appliances right in their community. Residents are reminded that they cannot dispose of toxic items such as paint, tires or chemicals, or, bulky items such as construction debris or brush.
Solomon’s Mission located across the street, accepts gently used appliances, furniture and clothing you may wish to donate. Solomon’s Mission is an outreach program that helps those in need with clothing, furniture and accessories which have been donated by the community. If you have these types of items, please give them a call at (540) 520 - 0043 to arrange a time to drop off donations.
The Town is also looking for Volunteers “Team Up to Clean Up” along streets throughout the Town to help pick up trash along any Street. If you or an organization you belong to would like to help, please contact the Buchanan Town Hall at (540) 254-1212 by Tuesday, April 13th.
