Hollins University Athletics issued the following announcement on Aug. 4
Wednesday, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced their 2020-21 All-Academic Team and for the second straight year, 60 Hollins student-athletes were honored for their excellence in the classroom.
Hollins was led by the Green and Gold riding and swim teams, each of which had 12 members named to the academic team.
To be eligible for the ODAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete of any class must compete in a conference-sponsored sport and achieve at least a 3.25 grade point average for the award year.
Washington and Lee University topped the chart with 442 earning academic distinction while the University of Lynchburg, Randolph-Macon and Roanoke College rounded out the top four. As a whole, the ODAC recognized the 2556 student-athletes from the 17 member institutions.
