ALLEGHANY COUNTY: Summer Food Service Program to be held June 24-Aug. 19

Alleghany County issued the following announcement on June 14.

The Summer Food Service Program is providing free meals for kids every Thursday from June 24 – August 19!

Join us once a week to pick up shelf-stable meals for your kids, for free, at Good News Church-Covington, Virginia.

Meals will be provided on a first come, first served basis, and are for anyone age 18 or younger. There are no eligibility requirements for this event.

When and Where:

Every Thursday from June 24 until August 19, from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Good News Church

214 S. Lexington Ave.

Covington, VA 24426

For safety reasons related to the pandemic, only drive-through pickup and walk-up pick up will be available.

This event is provided through a community partnership of Feeding Southwest Virginia and Total Action for Progress. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
