County of Franklin issued the following announcement on May 28.
Franklin County seeks a PT Correctional Records Clerk/LIDS Tech to perform a variety of duties in support of the Franklin County Jail. Responsibilities Include: Managing the LIDS system that tracks monthly inmate population statistics as required by the State Compensation Board; Tasks associated with data entry in our Jail Management System; Manages inmate money account, to include weekly and monthly account reconciliations and responsibility of monetary fund; Creating reports, charts, booklets, and brochures as assigned. Position requires a considerable amount of time working with inmates in the Franklin County Jail. Strong knowledge of transcription equipment, word processor and other information processing equipment.
Combination of education & experience equivalent to graduation from high school. Courses supplemented by college level psychology, criminology, penology, or related field. Completion of appropriate training prescribed by the Commonwealth of Virginia. Work environment typically in a corrections facility. Successful applicant must possess and maintain a VA Driver’s License. Starting salary: $13.50/hour.
