Cost of college went up for all students at Jefferson College of Health Sciences

Tuition and fees rose 4 percent for 2018-19 at Jefferson College of Health Sciences, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Virginia students paid $26,886 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,036 more than the $25,850 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 64 students received grants or scholarships totaling $990,297 and 51 students took out student loans totaling more than $449,979.

Including all undergraduates (1,128), 733 students used grants or scholarships totaling $7.8 million, and 552 students took out $4.9 million in federal student loans.
