There were 279 multiracial students enrolled in Salem City Public Schools District in the 2023-24 school year, 48.4% more than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Data showed that Salem City Public Schools District welcomed 4,318 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, multiracial students comprised 6.5% of the student body to be the fourth most represented ethnicity in the school.
