Salem Police Request Your Input for Accreditation

The Salem Police Department's reassessment is scheduled for next month. This is part of its process to comply with national law enforcement accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA). A CALEA assessor will be at the Salem Police Department March 20-22, 2023 to conduct an examination of all aspects of the Salem Police Department’s policy and procedure, management, operations and support services.

Anyone wishing to submit written comments about the Salem Police Department’s ability to comply with the standards for accreditation may send them to: The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), 13575 Heathcote Boulevard, Suite 320, Gainesville, VA 20155. You may also submit your comments throug this easily accessible link SALEM P.D. COMMENTS
