Ferrum Women Drop ODAC Game on the Road

Ferrum College Athletics issued the following announcement on Jan. 8

Ferrum College dropped an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's basketball game this afternoon on the road to Randolph-Macon College, falling 75-45 at Crenshaw Gym.

Randolph-Macon (7-3, 5-0 ODAC)

Ferrum (4-9, 2-4 ODAC)

THE BASICS

Randolph-Macon got off to a quick 8-0 start en route to taking a 25-12 lead after the first quarter of play. The Yellow Jackets extended the lead to 42-24 at the break.

Ferrum chipped away at the lead after halftime and got it down to 15 points, with Kayla Cabiness' jumper closing out the third quarter with the scoreboard showing 56-41 RMC.

A 16-0 Randolph-Macon run to open the fourth quarter pushed the lead to 72-41 to put the game out of reach. Cabiness closed with a game-high 24 points, including a pair of baskets from behind the arc.

Coach Bryan Harvey's team will be back in action Wednesday, January 12, at home against Guilford College. The ODAC game tips off at 7:00 p.m. in Swartz Gym.
