Ferrum College Athletics issued the following announcement on Sept. 3
Ferrum College's women's soccer team dropped a heartbreaker tonight at home, falling 2-1 in overtime to Mary Baldwin University in non-conference action at Penn-Roediger field.

THE BASICS
Following a scoreless first half, Allison Setlak got Ferrum on the scoreboard first when she converted a penalty kick at the 49:52 mark.
Mary Baldwin's Annie Ammons tied the game in the 67th minute of play when she delivered a shot to the back of the net from 30 yards out.
Neither team was able to score down the stretch, forcing overtime. Ammons broke through up the middle and sent a ball in the upper part of the left net for the golden goal win just 13 seconds into the first overtime period.
