Clark, Hamm, and 4x100 Relay Team Highlight Outdoor Season Opener for Men

The Men's Track and Field team competed at the Virginia Wesleyan Spring Break Invitational on Friday and Saturday to open their Outdoor Track and Field season.

THE BASICS
Isaiah Clark won the 100 meter with a time of 10.82 and finished fifth in the 200 meter. Michael Hamm won the 200 meter, with a time of 22.20 and finished second in the 100 meter. The 4x100 meter relay team of Clark, Hamm, Deontae Lawson, and DaMauri McPherson won with a time of 43.16. Tysen Gotschi was Ferrum's first ever 3000 meter steeplechase competitor and Jackson Horton  made the first javelin throw in school history, coming in third place.

400 meter hurdles: Jaden Huffman 4th 1:01.07; Logan McClung 8th 1:05.95
1500 meters: Josh Mills 4:56.57
3000 meters SC: Tysen Gotschi 3rd 10:49.44
5000 meters: Clayton Stanford 17:07.61
4x100 relay (two relay teams): "A" Clark, Hamm, Lawson, McPherson 1st 43.16; "B" Witcher, Pineiero, Spratley, McClung 5th 46.89
4x800 relay: Huffman, Mills, Shaffer, Ryder 2nd 8:51.28
Long jump: Johnny Franklin 6th 6.03m
Triple jump: Johnny Franklin 8th 12.40m
Shot put: Darrian Johnson 6th 11.80m PR; Nicholas Brown 23rd 7.54m
Javelin Throw: Jackson Horton 3rd 44.90m
