Franklin County: How many students were enrolled in Franklin County High School in 2023-24 school year?

Franklin County High School had the highest enrollment among Franklin County schools, welcoming 1,899 students during the 2023-24 school year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed at the time, 50.7% of them were male, and 49.3% were female.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 74.8% of Franklin County High School's total enrollment.

Among the 14 schools in Franklin County, Benjamin Franklin Middle School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 1,391 students, while Lee M. Waid Elementary School welcomed 403 students to be ranked third in the 2023-24 school year.

Franklin County High School is part of Franklin County Public Schools District, which roughly covers schools within Franklin County, with its main office in Rocky Mount.

In the previous school year, Franklin County High School also had the highest number of students among Franklin County schools.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14 in the 2023-24 school year, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools.
