Lord Botetourt High School had the highest enrollment among Botetourt County schools, welcoming 983 students during the 2023-24 school year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed at the time, 51% of them were female, and 49% were male.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 80.7% of Lord Botetourt High School's total enrollment.

Among the 11 schools in Botetourt County, Read Mountain Middle School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 661 students, while Colonial Elementary School welcomed 461 students to be ranked third in the 2023-24 school year.
