2021 has 3.6% of Salem city residents unemployed

Salem city recorded an unemployment rate of 3.6% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 479 people out of the 25,335 living in Salem city at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Salem city has decreased compared to the 4.9% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Salem city was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 4.5%.
