Panther Trio Swims at Pacer Invitational
The Ferrum College women's swimming team competed Friday and Saturday, November 18-19, at the Pacer Invitational, hosted by William Peace University at Triangle Aquatic Center.
THE BASICS
A solid group of 11 women's teams and nine men's teams, plus individuals, made up the field this year. Ferrum's senior trio of Lauren Hackett, Liza Montgomery and Jordan Prezio all represented the Panthers, swimming two events each on Friday and another two events each on Saturday.
Montgomery posted Ferrum's top finish, 19th place, in the 200 butterfly. She also swam the 200 freestyle Friday, then the 100 freestyle and 500 freestyle Saturday. Hackett swam he 50 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke on Friday, then the 100 freestyle and the rugged 200 individual medley Saturday. Prezio competed Friday in the 100 backstroke and 50 freestyle, then on Saturday swam the 100 freestyle and 200 backstroke.

UP NEXT
Coach Margaret Bisnett's team will take a short break for Thanksgiving, and then be back in the pool on Tuesday, November 29, at Randolph College with Pfeiffer University. The tri-meet is scheduled for a 5:00 p.m. start in Lynchburg, Virginia, and will be held at Michels Athletic Center on thr Randolph campus..
