Score: Hollins 1, Averett 6

Records: Hollins 0-5 / 0-2 ODAC | Cougars 3-4-1 / 1-2 ODAC

The Lead: For the first time as a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC), Averett played on Berkley Field. The first half was tightly contested before a trio of Cougar goals would give the advantage to the visitors heading into the break. However, the Green and Gold would get no closer as Averett secured the ODAC win, 6-1.

  • With just under 30-minutes left in the second half, Katie Christoffersen got a great look but the Cougar keeper made a diving save. On the rebound, Sophia Ciatti found the back of the net for her first goal of the season.
  • In the end, Averett would enjoy a 23-3 edge in shots on goal. Bussani finished with 17 saves on the afternoon, her third straight double-digit save effort.
