Experience the “magic” of small town America during Buchanan’s 27th annual, Mountain Magic In Fall Bluegrass, Antiques & Crafts Festival.

Thousands of visitors will flock to downtown exploring more than 100 vendor spaces filled with candles, knitted and crocheted items, wood crafts, furniture, glass, birdhouses, antiques, art, local honey, pumpkins, apples and more fill tables, easels and tents as the incredible smells of sausage, country ham and barbeque fill the air.

A celebration of the Town’s revitalization activities, Mountain Magic in Fall showcases the Town’s historic roots along Main Street where you will find antiques, arts, collectibles as well as restaurants offering good old fashioned southern cooking, pizza and burgers. A jouney through time, Buchanan’s historic buildings date from the early 1800’s through the 1950’s. Take advantage of sidewalk sales being offered by some merchants as well as a Book Sale and Yard Sale by Friends of the Buchanan Library.

Mountain Magic In Fall has grown to be one of the most anticipated festivals in the fall. Discover traditional and contemporary Bluegrass music while visiting Mountain Magic In Fall.

Bring a lawn chair and sit a spell. Today’s musical performances help keep the musical heritage of Bluegrass alive by introducing a new generation of listeners to this uniquely American form of music. Join us as we kick off the day’s activities at 10 AM and continue playing throughout the day until 4:00PM.

Marvel at the restoration of scores of antique and classic autos and tractors on display. Meet the owners and ask them about their efforts to restore their cars.

Pet Policy – Visitors are requested to leave their pets at home during Mountain Magic In Fall Festival. The crowded events create an environment that is not conducive to our four legged friends. The safety of both you and your pet is important to us and we ask that all visitors adhere to this policy. (Certified Service Dogs are allowed)

Volunteer with Us!

Buchanan simply LOVES our volunteers! The Town of Buchanan produces twenty to thirty events and festivals throughout the year. The successful execution of these events is dependent to a large degree on the generosity of our many volunteers. These dedicated individuals help us set up, sell food and beverages, sell tickets, and, many other duties. We LOVE our volunteers, and, can always use additional help.

While we cannot provide big compensation, we can guarantee lots of fun, the opportunity to meet new people as well as hang out with old friends, free admission, and in some cases, some freebies as well – and always the feeling of being part of the community.
