The Lead: Tuesday marked the opening of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) portion of the Hollins volleyball schedule. The Eagles would take the opener on their way to handing the Green and Gold their first conference defeat of the season.
Highlights
HU lost to BC by game scores of 25-17, 25-16, 25-8.
Hollins managed 14 kills but the 19 attack errors would allow the Eagles to take advantage of their 30 kills, 27.3% hitting percentage and 12 service aces to seize control fo the matchup.
Sophia Maurer and Faith Schaefer combined for nine of HU's 14 kills.
Kenna Esquibel recorded a pair of aces while she and Schaefer combined for a block.
On teh back line, Zoe Miranda led with six digs while Aden Watts handed out six helpers.
