Breschi Named Assistant Swimming Coach

Roanoke College head men's and women's swimming coach Brandon Ress announced the hiring of Nick Breschi as an assistant coach.

Breschi joins the Roanoke staff after spending the last four years as the Head Swimming Coach and aquatics director at Loyola Blakefield, a Catholic college preparatory school for boys in grades 6–12 located in Towson, Maryland.  Loyola has won 20 out of 21 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) championships, six National Catholic Swimming championships, and is one of the premier high school swim programs in the country.  Prior to his time at Loyola, Breschi and Ress were teammates at Towson University.

"I am thrilled to have Nick Breschi join the coaching staff," said Ress. "I know he will provide the energy, passion, and knowledge required to continue taking this program to unprecedented heights. I am excited to get the chance to lead a team with him. I know we will work wonders together."

The Maroons look to improve upon the 2022 ODAC Swimming Campaign that found them at the runner-up spot on the men's side, and 4th on the women's side.  11 All-ODAC performers return, seven men and four women.

"I am excited and grateful to be able to accept an assistant coach position at Roanoke College," said Breschi on his first collegeiate coaching position. "I am overjoyed to be a part of this team and to get to work with this school to accomplish great things."
