Six School Records Set at Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic

Event: Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic

Location: Lynchburg, Va. | University of Lynchburg

The Lead: The Hollins Outdoor Track & Field Team set 12 season best times/distances, six personal best times/distances and six new school records at the Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic on Saturday.

Highlights:

  • On Friday, Gracie Harlow set a new school record in the Javelin with a throw of 24.54m.
  • Also on Friday, Harper Dillon set a Hollins record in the 10000m Run with a time of 47:44.96.
  • On Saturday in the high jump, Tiffany McLaughlin's mark of 1.55m was good for third place and is a new Hollins Outdoor school record.
  • In the shot put, Gracie Harlow topped her own school record with a toss of 9.56m, while Charlotte Rose's toss of 5.25m was as season and personal best for her.
  • Savannah Scott had a season best 4.55m showing in the long jump, while Madison Brousseau jumped 3.18m. Scott also has a season best in the triple jump with a mark of 9.34m.
  • Dymond Williams set a new school record with a time of 13.76 100m Invitational section of the event, while Blair Turner (14.64) and Brousseau (14.58) each set season bests in the 100m in the open section. 
  • The 4x100 Relay team of Williams, Blair Turner, Scott and Brousseau set a new school record with a time of 55.22.
  • Harlow had a 22.06m toss in the discus and Rose had a personal best of 13.24m.
  • Seaira Siv also competed in the 400m, finishing in a time of 1:15.35 and Dillon posted a time of 3:01.60 in the 800m.
