City of Salem issued the following announcement on March 8
One of the most iconic performers in country music history is finally returning to the Salem Civic Center in July of 2022.
Hank Williams Jr., who first performed in Salem during the arena’s first full year of operation in the spring of 1968, will return to the stage on Friday, July 29. This is over two years after the original date of this concert was cancelled due to COVID-19 in the spring of 2019. Tickets are set to go on sale at 10 a.m. this Friday, March 11, at the Salem Civic Center Box Office and online at Ticketmaster.com.
Hank Jr.’s extremely impressive career has spawned the sale of 70 million albums worldwide, produced six Platinum albums, 20 Gold albums, 13 No. 1 albums and 10 No. 1 singles. In his 55 years of recording and performing, he has been selected country music’s Entertainer of the Year five times, named a BMI Icon, won a Grammy and earned induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Tickets for Hank Williams, Jr. at the Salem Civic Center go on sale Friday, March 11, at 10 a.m. Tickets are $29.50, $69.50, $89.50, $125 and $275 and preferred parking is available for $5. Tickets can be purchased at the Salem Civic Center Box Office Monday through Friday from 8a.m. – 5 p.m. They also can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com.
