Ferrum College Athletics issued the following announcement on Feb. 17
University of Lynchburg beat Ferrum College 82-58 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's basketball action tonight at Swartz Gym.

THE BASICS
Ferrum led 3-0 on a three-pointer by Aisha Martin, but the Hornets answered with a 22-2 run to take a 22-5 lead with 1:35 left in the first quarter. The Panthers closed the gap to 25-9 at the end of the first, with Martin converting a pair of layups down the stretch.
Lynchburg slowly pulled away in the second quarter, extending the lead to 38-16 midway through the quarter, then took a 44-24 at the break.
Martin knocked down a pair of free throws at 8:05 of the third quarter to cut the lead to 48-32, but Lynchburg used a 14-6 run to end the third on op 62-38.
The two teams played evenly in the final quarter, with Kayla Cabiness scoring 11 of her 20 points in the final 10 minutes of play.
