Salem Water Department Keeps the City Rolling

19

City of Salem issued the following announcement on Feb. 18

When the temperatures start to fluctuate like they have been doing the past month of so, with warm days and cold nights, water line breaks are inevitable. In January of 2022 alone, crews from the Salem Water Department were often knee deep in ice cold water and mud as they repaired 24 breaks during the first month of the year.

In all this winter, from November 2021 - January 2022, crew members fixed 57 water leaks, replaced 15 meters and completed six new water line installations. Thanks to all of you for keeping the water flowing properly in Salem!
