Hollins Swimming Opens 2022 at ODAC Tri-Meet

Meet: Tri-Meet at Sweet Briar and vs. Guilford

Results: Hollins 73 Guilford 61 | Sweet Briar 123, Guilford 49

The Lead: The Hollins Swimming team topped Guilford for its first win over an ODAC opponent this season as HU took part in a league tri-meet at Sweet Briar

Highlights & Notes 

  • First year Cordelia Burks led the Green and Gold off with her season high three individual wins to lead Hollins.  
  • Burks won the 200 IM with a time of 2:45.02. Taking the event by over six seconds over the second-place finisher 
  • She won the 100 Free with a season best meter time of 1:08.92 and the 200 Breast another season best meter time of 3:00.52
  • Hollins took both third and fourth in the 50 free with Amanda Fodor touching finishing third and Mia Cacucciolo coming in right behind her in fourth. 
  • Katherine Komarek notched a fourth place finish in the 100 free and fifth in the 200 free. 
Up Next: Hollins is due back in the pool on Feb. 10-13 when it takes part in the 2022 ODAC Championships in Greensboro, N.C.
