Ferrum College Athletics issued the following announcement on Dec. 30
Ferrum College's men's wrestling team finished eighth of 12 teams after the final day of action at the 2021 Citrus Invitational, held Wednesday and Thursday, December 29-30 at Broward County Convention Center.

THE BASICS
Braden Homsey, seeded #2 at 197 pounds, advanced to the finals with a 4-3 win over #3 seed Chance Lapier of Castleton University. Homsey then fell 10-4 in the title match to top-seeded Bentley Schwanebeck-Ost of Augsburg University.
Rayshawn Dixon, seeded #4 at 285 pounds, wrestled twice today and posted a pair of wins to run the table in the back bracket and place third. He opened the day with a 4-3 win over University of the Ozarks' Ka'Ron Lewis, then decked Abbas Abdulrahman of Castleton at 4:36 in the third-place match.
Other placewinners for the Panthers include JD McMillin (6th, 125 lbs) and Sam Slate (8th, 184). McMillin posted a signature win in today's consolation quarterfinals with a 10-5 win over Castelton's Owen Kretchmer, an NWCA All-American last season.

Meister's team will be back in action Friday and Saturday, January 7-8, at the Budd Whitehill National Duals. The tournament will be hosted by Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
