Ferrum College Athletics issued the following announcement on Oct. 9
The Ferrum College men's and women's swim teams traveled down to Washington and Lee University to take part in the ODAC Relays Saturday. The Panthers were joined by the likes of Washington and Lee, Roanoke College, University of Lynchburg, Randolph-Macon College, Bridgewater College, Virginia Wesleyan University, Guilford College, Greensboro College, Hampden-Sydney College, Sweet Briar College and Hollins University.
THE BASICS
Washington and Lee swept the men's and women's titles, as the men collected 425 points and the women 410 points. On the women's side, the Generals were followed by Roanoke College with 264 points and the University of Lynchburg rounded out the podium with 253 points.
On the men's side, the Generals led the way with 410 points, just one point ahead of second-place Roanoke College. The podium looked identical to the women's, with the University of Lynchburg finding themselves in third with 256 points.
FERRUM FINISHERS
The 3x50 breast relay team of Emilie Fairman, Laurynn Hackett and Caleigh Hauser finished in 14th with a time of 1:55.65 and the 3x100 IM relay team of Fairman, Hackett and Caroline Saalweachter finished in 18th with a time of 4:09.08.
UP NEXT
Head Coach Margaret Bisnett and her teams will be back in action Friday, October 22 as they welcome Sweet Briar and Greensboro to the Swartz Pool in a home tri-meet. The action is set for a 4:00 p.m. start.
