Field Hockey Wins on the Road

Ferrum College Athletics issued the following announcement on Sept. 23

Ferrum College picked up a non-conference field hockey win tonight on th road, shutting out Meredith College 5-0 at MC Athletic Complex.

THE BASICS

Jenna Theron got Ferrum on the scoreboard first with a goal at the 5:07 mark in the first period, and Thabelo Nemulodi getting the assist.

Dominique Harper had an unassisted goal less than two minutes later, then Victoria Tyler had an unassisted tally at 18:01 of the second period.

Tyler made it two in a row with her second goal of the night at 36:14 in the third period off a pass from Harper. Reagan Aldridge closed out scoring at 38:47 of the third, with Harper getting another assist.

This is Ferrum's second win over the Avenging Angels this season, including an 8-0 win September 5 at home in which Harper found the back of the cage four times.

NEXT UP

Coach Carrie Austin's team will be back in action Sunday, September 26, at home against Wilson (Pa.) College. The non-conference game us set for a 12:00 start at W.B. Adams Stadium.
