Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce & Tourism recently issued the following announcement.
AMERICAN CRAFT WEEK IN CLIFTON FORGE
October 1 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
The visual, performing, and historic Arts organizations in Clifton Forge are joining together in observing the national celebration of American Arts & Crafts Week!
This is the 2nd year Clifton Forge has participated. Everyday thousands of American artists share their vision & talents by producing amazing hand-made decorative & functional objects and offering beauty & entertainment in the form of visual & performance arts. Thousands of retailers and theatres share their love of these experiences by displaying, educating, and promoting, in addition to selling visual arts & crafts. The Arts enrich our homes, wardrobes, offices, public spaces, as well as contribute to our national economy, our balance of trade, and the fabric of our national history. It is original, beautiful, and enduring, and we want to tell the world!
This year Alleghany Highlands Arts and Crafts Center, Blue Spring Run Farm, C&O Railway Heritage Center, Café Museo, Clifton Forge School of the Arts, Historic Masonic Theatre, Country Garden Florist, and Livy’s Closet are all celebrating the American Craft Week in Clifton Forge. This year the event is being held from October 1st to the 10th.
