The Goodson Band has been performing for over 25 years. Influenced by dad, Chuck Goodson, the Goodson children inherited a strong desire to play music. Chuck Goodson was a professional jazz drummer and played in the Army Jazz band, and also played for several Presidential inauguration ceremonies. The Goodson’s grew up listening to 70’s rock and blues and that influenced their style. The band has opened for The Outlaws, Molly Hatchet, and Johnny Paycheck.
Members include Danny Goodson, Vocals guitar and saxophone; Janice Goodson, Vocals, bass guitar; Elvin Davis, Lead guitar and vocals; and Curtis Hite: percussion. The versatile band plays everything from country, blues, rock, and funk.
