Hollins ranked 220th in Virginia for resident earnings in 2018

Hollins ranked 220th among cities in Virginia by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Hollins residents was $34,101 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 5,909 households with a population of 14,257.

The city with the highest median resident income in the state was McLean with $90,665 per year after adjusting for inflation – $56,564 more than Hollins. It had 16,447 households with a population of 47,075.

The city with the lowest median resident income in the state was Emory with $5,930 per year after adjusting for inflation – $28,171 less than Hollins. It had 248 households with a population of 1,306.
