Former Northside High School star Baylee Compton contributed to the Roanoke Maroons’ 11-5 win over the Eastern Mennonite Royals in an NCAA Division III softball matchup held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 14.
The contest, played at Gehman Field, marked the Maroons’ first meeting with the Royals this season.
Compton worked 4.2 innings in the circle, surrendering three earned runs while walking six and striking out six batters.
The Maroons are set to face Eastern Mennonite Royals again at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, at Gehman Field.
