David Suetterlein, a Republican elected to the Virginia State Senate in 2024 representing the state’s 4th Senate district, posted several messages on April 16, 2026 addressing state fiscal policy, local tragedy, and an upcoming vote.

In a post published at 00:31 UTC on April 16, Suetterlein commented on tax policy debates in Richmond. He wrote: “As working Virginians settle their tax bills today, some politicians in Richmond are arguing for ‘new revenue sources’ despite continued surplus revenues & @GlennYoungkin handing off a balanced state budget that provides tax relief. Virginians deserve better from their government”.

Later that morning at 14:18 UTC, Suetterlein addressed a tragic event in Annandale. He stated: “Absolutely horrific news out of Annandale this morning. Ashley and I are praying for the former Lt. Governor’s children.”

In another message posted at 22:40 UTC on the same day, Suetterlein shared his campaign activities related to redistricting. He said: “Absolutely beautiful afternoon door knocking to remind folks to vote No to Rigged Maps by Tuesday, April 21.”

Suetterlein succeeded Ryan McDougle as senator for Virginia’s 4th district following his election in 2024.
