David Suetterlein, a public official in Virginia, posted a series of messages on social media between October 14 and October 17, 2025, addressing topics ranging from local agriculture to state politics.
On October 14, Suetterlein expressed appreciation for local agricultural organizations, writing, “Thank you Montgomery Farm Bureau and Montgomery County Future Farmers of America for a great meal and conversations on important agriculture issues!”
Two days later, on October 16, Suetterlein commented on a political debate involving Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares. He stated, “Excellent display at the debate tonight by Attorney General @JasonMiyaresVA of the civility and integrity that Virginians expect. He was also 100% right about fmr Del Jay Jones voting for the monopoly written VCEA that is terrible for ratepayers.”
On the morning of October 17, Suetterlein posted a brief message referencing a local landmark: “Good morning from Afton Mountain”.
David Suetterlein serves as a member of the Virginia State Senate. The VCEA referenced in his post stands for the Virginia Clean Economy Act, a legislative measure enacted in 2020 that set ambitious clean energy goals for the state but has faced criticism regarding its impact on utility rates and the role of major energy providers.
