Botetourt County schools enrolled 4,438 students in the 2025-26 school year, 0.3% more than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

In terms of gender distribution, the student body in Botetourt County was 50.6% boys and 49.4% girls.

Data showed that white students made up 84.3% of the student body, the largest share in Botetourt County schools, followed by Hispanic students at 6.7%, Black or African American students at 2% and Asian students at 1.4%.

Lord Botetourt High School had the highest enrollment among the county’s 11 schools in the 2025-26 school year, with 931 students.
