Former Northside High School standout Baylee Compton played for the Roanoke Maroons on Saturday, March 7, as they defeated the Southern Virginia Knights 10-1 in an NCAA Division III softball contest.
Harvey-Dryden Field hosted the game, which marked the teams’ first meeting of the season.
Compton threw four innings and allowed one earned run while striking out three batters.
The Maroons are set to play Southern Virginia again at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 7, also at Harvey-Dryden Field.
